wow... its pretty amazing reading such posts that reflect perfectly how i feel.. am still trying to find my feet and ironically i work on a ship sailing the world.. its where i feel most at home is onboard with an international crew.. i am able to adapt and relate to most onboard.. that said i envy those that have deep sense of belonging.. yet at same time i know may envy my ability to travel world and adapt to where i am.

What you are saying about belonging everywhere & nowhere resonates very strongly with me. To this day I have a deep feeling of being rootless. Never the less my experience as a TC kid has created an ability to be very flexible, empathic & containing towards people who are different from me & in my line of work (rehabilitating trauma victims) this has created huge added value for me & the people I work with.
